Brightening the Shameful Days begins in 10 Samburu schools

This week we handed out the first 500 dignity kits across our ten partner schools in Samburu Central and Samburu East. Teachers, parents and school boards of management gathered at each site to witness the launch — and, more importantly, to begin a year of joint work we have been planning since 2024.

What happened in Q1

  • Four schools have already received their full 12-month supply of sanitary products.
  • Ten Girls' Health Clubs have been re-activated, with student co-facilitators trained at each site.
  • Our first mother–daughter dialogue reached 82 women at Maralal Mixed Secondary.

What's next

By July we aim to complete MHM training for all 30 partner teachers and run the first round of community sensitisation forums. Follow our progress on the live impact dashboard.
